Courtney Lindsey is an accomplished American sprinter who has established himself as a formidable competitor in the 100 and 200 meters on the international stage.

Born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois, Lindsey developed his athletic foundation at a boxing gym operated by his stepfather before beginning his collegiate career at Iowa Central Community College. He later transferred to Texas Tech University, where he emerged as one of the nation’s premier collegiate sprinters.

In 2023, Lindsey captured the NCAA Outdoor Championship in the 100 meters with a personal-best 9.89 seconds. He also ran a personal-best 19.85 seconds to earn bronze in the 200 meters at the USA Outdoor Championships, establishing himself among the country’s elite sprinters.

Lindsey continued his rise in 2024, lowering his 200-meter personal best to 19.71 seconds at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi. He also competed for the United States at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as part of the men’s 4×100-meter relay team.

His momentum continued through 2025. Lindsey earned podium finishes in Diamond League competition, won the 200 meters at the Meeting International Mohammed VI de Rabat, and ran a personal-best 9.82 seconds to finish runner-up in the 100 meters at the USA Championships. At the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, he advanced to the semifinals in both the 100 and 200 meters and helped the United States capture gold in the men’s 4×100-meter relay.

In 2026, Lindsey continued competing at the highest level, representing the United States at the World Athletics Relays and earning bronze in the mixed 4×100-meter relay. With elite speed, versatility, and international experience, Lindsey remains a rising force in American sprinting.
