Jerome Campbell is a Jamaican sprint hurdler who has emerged as one of the country’s leading young athletes in the 60-meter and 110-meter hurdles. Combining elite speed with international championship experience, Campbell continues to establish himself among Jamaica’s next generation of top hurdlers.

Campbell attended Calabar High School in Kingston, Jamaica, before continuing his athletic and academic career in the United States at the University of Northern Colorado. Competing in the NCAA, he quickly developed into a standout hurdler.

In 2025, Campbell made a major breakthrough in the 60-meter hurdles. After lowering his personal best to 7.55 seconds, he produced an outstanding 7.49-second performance at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach to finish runner-up. The performance moved him into a tie for third on Jamaica’s all-time indoor 60-meter hurdles list.

His strong indoor season earned Campbell selection to Jamaica’s team for the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China. He advanced to the final and finished seventh, gaining valuable experience against the world’s best hurdlers. Later that year, he finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles at the Jamaican Championships.

Campbell transferred to the University of Arkansas for the 2026 season and continued to improve, lowering his 60-meter hurdles personal best to 7.48 seconds at the Tyson Invitational.

Representing Jamaica at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland, Campbell advanced to the semifinals. He continued his success outdoors, finishing runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles at the Jamaican Championships.

At the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Campbell reached the 110-meter hurdles final and finished sixth. He also represented Jamaica in the men’s 4×100-meter relay.

With international championship experience and continued improvements in both indoor and outdoor hurdles, Campbell is building a strong foundation for a successful career at the highest level of sprint hurdling.
